About This Journal
Engineering and Technology Journal is a global, scientific and Open Access journal. Publishing under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, this journal is published monthly by the University of Technology (UOT), Iraq, since 1977 (printed version) and since 2005 (online version). ETJ publishes original articles and review papers in the fields of engineering and science. The journal uses a double-blind peer-reviewing system to assure the quality of the publication. The Turnitin service is used to prevent plagiarism and to ensure the originality of our submitted manuscripts.
Publication frequency:
Engineering and Technology Journal publishes 12 issues per year (monthly).
Issue structure: Each issue is dedicated to a specific discipline (different engineering fields and science). Each discipline typically has two issues per year. To enable timely publication, ETJ follows an incremental publication model and compiles multiple field-specific issues in parallel. Articles are published online as soon as they complete peer review and production, and are then placed into the relevant field issue. Because several field issues are updated in parallel, multiple issue numbers may be visible early in the year. An issue is considered ‘closed’ when it’s planned set of articles is complete.
Archiving & Preservation
Engineering and Technology Journal is preserved through CLOCKSS and Portico to ensure long-term access to published content. In addition, the journal maintains an archive of previously published issues via the Iraqi Academic Scientific Journals (IASJ) platform. These arrangements support continued access to the journal’s content even if the journal website changes or the journal is no longer published.

All research articles published in the Engineering and Technology Journal are fully open access: immediately freely available to read, download and share.
